At Mindful Harmony Coaching, we are passionate about helping people learn to live the life they want for themselves. We partner with horses to assist people in all walks of life in finding the harmony in their lives through healing their heart and mind.
Equine Gestalt Coaching is a non-riding co-active form of coaching and a holistic experiential way of healing. The certified coach and horse(s) partner in order to help their clients take a deep look at their life and what is troubling them. Through doing this the coach and equine partners will guide the client through finishing any unfinished business and learn ways to work through any current or future pain in order to heal and move forward in their life.
The Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® was developed by Melisa Pearce, a core founder since 1989, of the horse-human healing movement. The experiential nature of the method involves the horse as an active partner with the coach in the client’s exploratory process. The integrative approach of the equine’s interaction combined with positive coaching, somatic awareness guidance and Gestalt methodology, assists the client in examining their life and choices made with a focus on designing a positive future.
As a high schooler, Zoe developed anxiety, depression, and felt constant stress; as many teenagers and people do. She knew she couldn't continue living with those feelings and wanted to find a way to heal and find happiness and a love for life again. Wanting to feel better she went to a traditional therapist for an evaluation session to see if the therapist was a good fit, however she knew upon arriving that talk therapy was not a good fit, so she searched for something better and discovered Equine Gestalt Coaching. After one session as a client, life started to look a bit brighter and feel a bit less heavy. As she continued sessions she continued to heal, learn, grow and find a new love for life, things she knew would not have happened without being a client of Equine Gestalt Coaching. Upon graduating high school Zoe was a student at the University of Colorado Denver as a psychology major. Again like therapy, she knew it wasn't where she was meant to be. Zoe has always had a passion for horses and helping people, she originally thought a psychology degree was the right path to be able to do that until she had a lightbulb moment while sitting in college, "I want to work with horses and I want to help people... I should become an Equine Gestalt Coach!" Since that moment Zoe had been avidly learning and growing in the Touched By a Horse Equine Gestalt Coaching Method program and as of July 2021 has graduated and become a Certified Equine Gestaltist. She is thrilled to continue on this new path in her journey to help people live their dream life as she lives hers.

Zoe is a young entrepreneur in the business of helping people heal with her equine co-coaches. She was born and raised in Colorado where she still resides. Zoe began working with horses at the age of 13, although she knew she was meant to be working with them many years before that. In high school Zoe discovered Equine Gestalt Coaching as a client and learned the true healing and growth that can come from the work and decided to make it her career. She is one of the youngest to ever graduate from the Touched By a Horse Equine Gestalt Coaching Method program and become a Certified Equine Gestaltist. As of January 2023 she will be deepening her education in Gestalt on her journey to become a Master Gestaltist by December 2024.
Kort (Cortez Kid Amin) is a 2008 bay Arabian gelding standing at 15 hands. He has many talents in and out of the coaching ring. Together Kort and Zoe have competed in 4H, show-jumping, dressage, and gymkhanas. They continue to compete in show jumping and the occasional dressage show or gymkhana. Kort was the first to join the herd in September 2016 and began his healing work with Zoe when she was an equine gestalt coaching client. Kort currently lives at our Castke Rock location and co-coaches with Zoe in Equine Gestalt Coaching.
Boq (The Mighty Munchkin) is a 2008 paint welsh cross pony standing at 12.3 hands who joined the herd in July 2019. It was love at first sight between Boq and Zoe when she saw him across the parking lot and knew he had to be hers. In the past Boq was in various jumping rings and even took part in fox hunting. Now, Boq lives at our Sedalia location and coaches in Equine Gestalt Coaching in addition to working with our equestrian students learning horsemanship and riding.
Charlie (Mr. Charles) is a 2016 paint mini standing at 36 inches tall (9 hands). He joined the herd in February 2020 when he and Boq immediately bonded upon meeting, they have been attached at the hip since. Charlie joined the herd young and with little training, after over a year of learning from Boq and Zoe he has become a wonderful healer and teacher. Charlie lives at our Castle Rock location with Boq partnering in Equine Gestalt Coaching and helping equestrian students learn basic horsemanship and horse care.
Eve (Playboys Queen N Mink) is a 2013 palomino paint mare standing at 14.3 hands. She joined the herd as our first mare in September of 2021. Eve is introverted, insightful, and a powerful healer. She has a background in western riding and reining and a passion for assisting humans on their paths to healing, wholeness, mindfulness, and harmony. Eve lives at our Castle Rock location with Kort and will be both a partner in gestalt coaching and riding lessons.
Mikko Dobby is a November 2022 puppy who joined the Healing herd in March of 2023. He is a mixed breed rescue that met Zoe at the 2023 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo and it was love at first sight.
Mikko is learning the ropes of being a barn dog and assisting Zoe and the horses in Gestalt sessions at our Sedalia location, offering support and comedic relief with his goofball personality.
