I have been asked the questions, "What is your method?" and "What is your specialty?" many times over the years, and my answers are simple;
I listen to the horse to create better connection, communication, and confidence between horse and human.
Before becoming an Equine Gestalt Coach, Zoe was a full time horse trainer. Zoe has trained humans and horses from basic horsemanship all the way up to competitive riding in both english and western disciplines. She is passionate about working with horses in many ways and loves to share her passion with others.
Combining her background in Gestalt Coaching with her experience teaching with horses, Zoe brings a unique viewpoint to her lessons and shows. In addition to focusing on the physical abilities and skills needed to work with, ride, and show horses, Zoe also teaches with an emphasis on the mental game that is played as an equestrian at all levels.
Horsemanship lessons are non-riding lessons, great for learning the basics of working with horses. These are 45 minute sessions and can be with one of Zoe's herd members or one of your own. Lessons will include a variety of things including; herd dynamics, safety, body language communication, haltering/leading, grooming, basic first aid, lunging/free lunging, long lining, feeding, mucking, and barn care.
Riding lessons range from 45-60 minutes and vary in price based on number of students in lessons. English or Western disciplines.
Have your own horse and want Zoe to travel to you for riding or horsemanship lessons? Make sure your barn allows outside trainers (Zoe is insured) and send us an email! If you are within a reasonable traveling distance Zoe would love to work with you. *Please note that lessons requiring travel may have increased rates dependent on distance of travel required by Zoe, rates may be less if there are multiple lessons to be given at one location.
Throughout the summer Colorado show season Zoe will be coaching Show Jumping at both CHJA and local gymkhana shows. Have a show you need a coach at? Or want to get a couple lessons in before heading to a show? Zoe has experience coaching at shows in a few different rings including: Show Jumping, Hunter/Eq, Gymkhana and 4H.

Despite having always known she was meant to work with horses, it took Zoe until she was 12 to get in the barn, once she did though, she never left.
Zoe began working with horses as a volunteer at a horse rescue in 2013 and has been consistently involved in the horse world since. She believes in creating a solid foundation from the ground up for both horse and rider to create the most success.
Zoe has ridden, competed, and coached in many different arenas including working with un-started rescue horses, 4H - english and western, gymkhana events, jumping, and dressage - english and western.
